Dustin Johnson Clubs: What’s in the Bag in 2022?

Dustin Johnson is an American golfer with two major championships to his name: the 2016 U.S Open and the 2020 Masters Tournament (in which he received a record score of 268).

But what equipment is Dustin using to perform at such a high level? I, for one, had to find out! Can you add one of these top clubs to your bag?

Read on to see all Dustin Johnson’s clubs.

After scouring sources online, I discovered the full range of equipment in Dustin Johnson’s golf bag. While Dustin likes to experiment with new gear, he frequently reverts to his core equipment. Here’s Dustin Johnson’s WITB:

After success with the SIM2 Max, Dustin made the switch to the TaylorMade Stealth+. He uses this in partnership with a Fujikura Speeder 661 X prototype shaft.

Dustin’s preference for both his old driver and the current driver is 10.5° of loft. However, you can pick up the Stealth+ at 8° or 9° as well. You also have five different stiffness options.

The club head is shaped to improve forgiveness. The Asymmetric Inertia Generator is aerodynamically optimized to raise MOI and promote a flawless ball launch.

As for Dustin Johnson’s fairway item he uses the TaylorMade Stealth HL 3 wood. It employs a 3D Carbon Crown with laser alignment for ultimate precision. Like the Stealth+, the weight is repositioned towards the bottom of the head to minimize twisting and promote a good clean stroke.

Dustin uses a TaylorMade Stealth 21° club for his 7 wood which is marginally below his hybrid in terms of loft.

The inclusion of a hybrid in Dustin’s setup gives him a little more choice for when neither his 7 wood nor iron fits the bill. Although we should note there is little difference between it and the 7 wood. Both the loft and shaft are very similar.

Dustin’s iron set of choice is the TaylorMade P730 DJ Proto. He uses these in conjunction with True Temper X100 shafts. These are the same shafts he used in his early career. This again shows that while Dustin likes to experiment with new equipment, he often reverts to the same gear.

The P730 DJ Protos were developed for the Tour players worldwide. They are the pinnacle of TaylorMade engineering.

DJ usually has two milled grind wedges in his bag but sometimes more. These core wedges have 52° and 60° of loft. Another wedge he is sometimes seen using is the TaylorMade Milled Grind Hi-Toe.

While lots of clubs go in and out of Dustin’s bag, none seem more so than his putter. It’s like a conveyor belt! He was recently spotted using a TP Bandon 1 but has since reverted to his TaylorMade Spider Itsy Bitsy Tour Limited Black. He uses this with an LA Golf shaft.

The Spider features an assortment of hosels, sightlines, and toe hangs to prepare you for any stroke.

The Golf Pride Tour Velvet is the top grip choice for players around the world, so it is no wonder that Dustin Johnson uses it. It features a revolutionary rubber compound with a non-slip surface for the utmost comfort, grip, and control.

The TaylorMade TP5X is among the most popular balls for skilled golf players. It may cost more than most, but the 5-star average review rating on Amazon speaks for itself.

The TP5X has a bigger and more potent core than previous balls. This leads to greater efficiency from your swing to the ball resulting in greater distance coverage.

Made from AAA Cabretta leather, you’ll struggle to find a more comfortable glove for golf. The leather is ultra-thin and expertly shaped to give you a perfectly fitting glove that doesn’t diminish your feeling during strokes. It’s also moisture-wicking, so it performs well in hot conditions.

Dustin sports many different Adidas shoes, but currently, he is wearing the Adidas ZG21s. They are clean-looking lightweight footwear that provides plenty of cushioning while making you feel low to the ground to help you generate power.

Adidas sponsors Dustin Johnson alongside several other brands. As a result, he almost always wears Adidas apparel when he is out on the green.

TaylorMade sponsors Dustin Johnson, so the full range of clubs in Dustin Johnson’s bag are all made by the company.

Four of Dustin johnson’s golf clubs are part of the TaylorMade Stealth series. These include the driver, 3 wood, 7 wood, and hybrid, which are the Stealth+, Stealth HL, Stealth, and Stealth Rescue.

As for the remainder, his iron set is the Taylormade P730 DJ Proto, his wedge is the TaylorMade Milled Grind, and his putter is the TaylorMade Spider Itsy Bitsy Tour Limited Black.

Dustin Johnson irons are the TaylorMade P730 DJ Proto set.

Dustin Johnson’s putter is the TaylorMade Spider Itsy Bitsy Tour Limited Black.

All of Dustin Johnson’s clubs are created by his sponsor TaylorMade. However, he also has some Adidas gear in his bag, as they are another one of his sponsors. This assortment of high-quality equipment helps Dustin keep his game at the elite level so that he can compete against other players at the top of the pecking order.
