Despite its "discovery-sounding" title, AAPS also showcases production equipment, such as the BCM-S3 Softgel Encapsulating Machine from CapPlus Technologies (Phoenix). Made from FDA-approved contact parts (i.e. all stainless steel, with bronze spreader boxes), the BCM-S3 is rated at up to 23,040 capsules per hour, depending upon capsule size.

According to CapPlus, the BCM-S3 is suited for R&D environments as well as production. Additional features include control panels mounted on the machine, drum cooling system, adjustable medicine pump system, stripper device, mangle roll device, filling hopper with agitator, reversible transfer conveyor, and tumble dryers. There are four models to choose from that are rated between 2,000 and 230,000 capsules per hour to meet a wide variety of production environments.

CapPlus also offers other manufacturing equipment, such as reactors, melting tanks, medicine tanks, gelatin net recyclers, sorters, capsule crushers, and drying trays. Single machines or entire plant installations are available.

While at AAPS, visit CapPlus at booths 321-322.
